TYPE: Red Bellied Turtles
BASIC INFORMATION:
Brightly colored as juveniles, Florida
Red bellys make excellent starter and community tank members. Once 4- 5 inches they make fine additions to outdoor Ponds in warmer
states.This species tames quickly, loves to bask and will pile on top of other turtles if necessary, to get a good spot on a log.
Mostly
herbivores, they will take most water plants, romaine and other lettuces, and pellets. Juveniles will eat some insects if offered.
